The yellow Star of David the Nazis made Jews wear

It is a sad fact that the brutal and ugly face of anti-Semitism is being seen in France.

However, let me make it clear immediately that I am not saying that the French are anti-Semites. What I am going to tell you is that a small number of people living in France are anti-Semites, but — even one anti-Semite is one too many here in France and anywhere else for that matter.

According to statistics released by the French branch of The Jewish Agency, 7000 French Jews left France in 2014 to settle in Israel.

Compare this number to those of previous years: In 2009 2000 left ; in 2010 1600 left; in 2011 1620 left ; in 2012 1900 left ; 2013 3400 left.

Therefore, in 2014 some 3600 more Jews left France than in 2013.

And – according to the Israeli Minister of Integration, Sofa Landver, Israel expects another 10,000 French Jews to settle in Israel this year of 2015.

What to say?

Roger Cukierman, 78, the French banker, businessman and Jewish philanthropist and President of the Conseil Représentatif des Institutions Juives de France (CRIF) and Vice-President of the World Jewish Congress, said in an interview with Le Parisien/Aujourd’hui en France this Saturday, January 3, 2015, that Jews leaving France is something to which he reacts with pain and anger. But he added that he was not surprised by so many Jews leaving France because “2014 was a catastrophic year for Jews in France because of an increase in anti-Semitic acts.”

Who are committing these anti-Semitic acts?

I will again quote the President of CRIF. He told the newspaper that they were youths from the ranks of immigrants and “pour l’essentiel des musulmans”. Essentially Muslims.

He did also point out that a small number of French Jews have also left for the United States of America, Canada and Australia.

French law forbids identifying her citizens by their ethnic or religious background, but at the beginning of 2014 an estimated 400,000 French were of the Jewish faith. This meant that here in France Jews are outnumbered about 15 to 1 by Muslims.

Four hundred thousand Jews in France means that France has the highest number of Jews in Europe and the third highest number of Jews in the World.

I will give you some more statistics.

France’s Observatoire national de la délinquance et de réponses pénales (ONDRP – National Supervisory Body on Crime and Punishment) which falls under the National Institute for Advanced Studies in Security and Justice, receiving its statistics from the country’s National Police and ‘Gendarmerie’ (militarised police) recorded 466 attacks on Jews in 2010, 389 in 2011, 614 in 2012 and 423 in 2013, the last year for which the ONDRP could supply statistics.

As for the SPCJService de Protection de la Communauté Juive – founded in the 1980s and of which Baron Eric de Rothschild is President, and which requests all people to report to it if they had witnessed an anti-Semitic incident, there has been a 90% increase of anti-Semitic acts in the first seven months of 2014 compared to those of the first seven months of 2013.

Look at the next two charts. The first shows anti-Semitic incidents in each of Paris’s 20 arrondissements (districts) in 2013. The second shows the number of anti-Semitic incidents in France’s major cities in 2013. Paris had 77.

Meanwhile, in media interviews Jews of all ages are speaking of no longer being able to wear a Kippa in public because of insults hurled at them and even of being called un sale juif – a dirty Jew.

Before and at the outbreak of World War Two, France was considered Europe’s most non-racist, religion-tolerant and welcoming country and this meant that thousands of Jews had fled here to get away from Hitler and his Nazis. The Jews, many of them Polish or Russian, had begun to arrive just after the end of World War One when the Soviet Union had begun to threaten their existence.

According to the formal minutes – the Wannsee Protocol – of the Wannsee Conference held at Wannsee Lake in south-west Berlin on January 20 of 1942 which was convened by SS-Obergruppenführer -Lieutenant General – Reinard Heydrich, Head of the RSHA, there were about 865,000 Jews in France that year.

It is estimated that in 1939 the population of France stood at 41,700,000. Of these 550,000 had died during the war, 90,000 of them Jews. Not all the Jews who were living in France during WW 2 were however French-born. And I must point out that Heydrich had exaggerated the number of Jews living in France.

I wrote about the fate of the Jews who were in France during World War Two in my book ‘Die in Paris’ about the French serial killer Dr Marcel Petiot. You can buy the book on any amazon site.
