This book of mine is, as is said on the cover, the story of France’s most notorious serial killer.

He was MARCEL PETIOT. Here I must say — DR MARCEL PETIOT.

Yes, Marcel Petiot was a medical doctor, and he was based in Paris in the years of WW2.

I will repeat from my ‘Author’s Note’ in my book.

“Dr Marcel Petiot existed in the basement of the human spirit in a time and place that struggled, like everywhere touched by the Nazi poison, to find the light, in Paris in the years of the Second World War.

I am not a macabre person, but, when I first came across this man, I found him ghoulishly fascinating. As I began to learn more about him, he drew me down into him, and I use the word ‘down’ consciously, I had to know more and still more about him.

In this book, I do not analyse or judge him, because I never analyse or judge the murderers I write about. I will allow you, the reader, to make up your own mind about him.

In the years that I researched his life and his crimes and wrote this book, I got to know him well. For this reason I call him Marcel throughout the book. I do so despite that no one ever calls him anything but Dr Petiot.”

I won’t tell you here now what the French had eventually done to him. You would prefer, I am sure, to discover this in this book of mine.

DIE IN PARIS was published in 2013 by the British publisher RAVEN CREST BOOKS.

You can find the book on Amazon.

This is what Don Fulsom, veteran UPI and VOA White House correspondent write about the book in his review — Marilyn Z. Tomlins has c rafted an enthralling and suspenseful page-turner about one of history’s most fascinating and notorious serial killers. This grisly World War Two era thriller will have you teetering on a slippery edge from beginning to end.

And this is what J. Patrick O’Connor, author of several bestsellers and the creator of www.crimemagazine.com wrote about the book in his review — With style, Marilyn Z.Tomlins’ Die in Paris, tells the incredible story of France’s most prolific murderer. Readers will discover a truly psychotic serial killer.

Soon, the French translation of this book will be on the shelves.
